Celebrities and their pets

The fascination we have with the rich and famous also includes fascination with their pets. Every time someone well known steps out in public with a pet, that type of pet or breed of dog becomes a high demand item. Their fans want to have what their idol has. Maybe they can’t afford the big mansion or the fancy cars but they can have a small dog or exotic breed of cat.

Tinkerbelle

One of the most famous dogs in the world has got to be Paris Hilton’s Tinkerbell. The Chihuahua breed has seen it’s demand go up since Paris has been carrying around her live fashion accessory. Have you also noticed that pet product manufacturers have also been adding carry bags for small dogs that don’t look like dog carriers? Like the one below:

Of course celebrity pets are not limited to dogs and cats. George Clooney for many years had a pet pig named max.  Cher had a miniature horse at one time, but I don’t know if she still has it. Kevin Cosner loves horses so much his wedding reception included team roping and other ranch horse events on his ranch. For more information on celebrities and their horses check out Famous Horse Owners.

Owning exotic animals requires a permit in many states and often celebrities get those permits with no problem at all. Micheal Jackson had a zoo collection at Neverland Ranch and Hugh Hefner has plenty of exotic animals roaming the Playboy mansion. Tippi Hedren was so appalled at all of the mistreated exotic big cats in Hollywood that she started up a big cat rescue.

Pets do play a large part of celebrity lives. All the way from just being pets to becoming a worth while cause to fight for.

Pythons as pets

Published by jans under exotic pets Edit This

I am familiar with the small ball python found in the pet stores. They don’t get that big. They require live food and warmth. Now think about having a python that is big enough to eat the family pet or a smaller member of the family. Now that you have that picture in mind, watch the video below and let me know your thoughts.
