Fake animal blogs
I enjoy visiting other animal blogs and reading what the writer has to say. I often am moved to leave a comment if their post has touched me in some way. This brings me to the fact that in my search for something interesting to read I come across animal websites that masquerade as blogs. Those are the types of blogs that do not allow comments at all so they are in reality websites. Then I find the animal blogs that have nothing to do with animals other than having links all over the place to other websites or blogs, those sites are called link farms.
Then I find what looks to be a fairly decent horse blog until I find out that they advertise betting on the horses and how to win. It is obviously a thinly disguised paid link blog. If you would like to take a look it is here. If that home page was not enough to turn you off take a look at their horse back riding and betting page , not one word about horses or betting but links galore to other websites in a very loosely written page. In fact the first sentence is about teeth whitening. If you look at the blog posts themselves you can see they are not written by anyone with real horse experience. One of the blog posts starts off with “If you have money to burn, buying a horse may be a good option as it will help fulfill the dream of owning a wonderful four legged creature”, that is not written by a horse owner, but by someone who really has no first hand experience with horses. The “money to burn” part was the giveaway on that.
Now you may wonder why am I bothering to write about this? Well it is these types of websites and blogs that are being ranked higher in the search engines because of the sheer amounts of different subject words that are found on their sites. When a person is looking for something about horses, this garbage site will be listed higher than a real horse site with in depth and factual information. Maybe when Google has that new Caffeine search in full operation, those junk sites will disappear.
